There's no better place to get away from it all than the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Whether you are planning a romantic getaway or a fun girls trip, we can help you plan your trip or better yet, we'll meet you there and escort you to all of the best wineries.
Instead of using up all of your vacation money on paying for your tastings, Judith and Patrick are able to get most of those fees waived for you. In addition, at many of the wineries, they can share the discounts they are entitled to through their wine club participation.
Why visit only the wineries that you are familiar with? There are hundreds of wineries in the Napa and Sonoma valleys. If you are visiting for the first time, it's difficult to know which wineries to go to, where to stay and where to eat. Through the years, Judith and Patrick have visited lots of the wineries and gotten to know the winery staff at many of them. They know which wineries offer the most fun experience, which have the best tours, and which offer the best wines.
Our base of operations in Napa is "The Hen's Nest", where we often invite friends and family to stay. The Hen's Nest is just off the Silverado Trail and offers amazing views of the Napa Valley looking north. Our favorite hangout is on the deck looking north where we can see a the mountains of Napa Valley, a few vineyards and lots of foliage. A great place to start your wine tasting adventure is on the deck sampling a glass of our favorite sparkling wine--Domaine Carneros, of course!

Vintner's Collective
Downtown Napa is the home of one of our favorite wine tasting rooms. For people longing to taste the wines from small and unknown wineries Vintner's Collective is the place to go. It's housed in a historic stone building and offers a range of outstanding wines. Don't miss the wines from Vinoce, Richard Perry, Melka, and Mi Sueno and don't expect any frills or breathtaking valley views. It's all about great wine here. No appointment necessary. Be sure to ask for Andy and tell him that Judith sent you!

I started visiting the Laird Family Winery years ago after discovering that their winemaker was Paul Hobbs. (He is now their consulting winemaker.) Great cabs and chardonnays at reasonable prices! Their 2008 Laird Family Napa Valley Cabernet was rated 91 points, and costs only $54. Their Suscol Merlot is also tasting really nice right now. Naturally, the prices are less if you are a wine club member!

If you like cabernet, you will definitely like Frank Family Winery. I always make sure that my cellar is stocked with plenty of Frank Family cabernets. But if you are also in the market for a creamy, buttery, oaky chardonnay (like my friend Mary) or a lovely sparkling wine (like Patrice!), you've still come to the right place. I don't think I've ever conducted a wine tour that didn't include Frank Family.
It's definitely worth the tasting price to visit the reserve room and taste their best of the best. Even better, visit with a wine club member (like us!!) and get your tasting fees waived.
